After this, the meat is ground or minced into small particles, creating the finely-textured mixture that forms the base of the nugget.

At this stage, other ingredients—such as seasonings, salt, phosphates, and starches—are mixed with water in a large mixing tank. This seasoned solution will infuse the meat with the flavors that make nuggets so delicious.
